The shorter the month, the more songs uploaded. Here are my February favorites.
1. iremembertapes. - I Met You
This new track is a mixture of 80s dance and 90s euro dance, and it actually works. #ElectronicMusicIsKing
2. HAIM - Falling
I already see them in the very top of every single music site's "Top 2013 Everything".
3. James Blake - Retrograde
Another album to be waiting for...
4. ME - Vampire!! Vampire!!
Damn catchy and the voice of Luke is brilliant. Yes.
5. Alkaline Trio - The Torture Doctor
Hey! Ho!
6. Darwin Deez - You Can't Be My Girl
First I was like "damn VeVo", but then I was like " aa, haha".
7. Crystal Fighters - Separator
An interesting tune from the Londoners. Like they say themselves we like many styles.
8. Iron and Wine - Grace For Saints And Ramblers
One of my favorites getting jazzier every second.
9. Franco and the Dreadnought vs. James Gill - ?
Only now I noticed that this track doesn't have a name, but it doesn't matter, cause it's good.
10. Tree feat. Shelf Nunny & Kirsten Rosenberg - Tully
Great to have Tree back, this song and video is rather dope.
11. Shelf Nunny feat. HOLM - Wave Of Phases
Equally dope as the previous one.
12. Fun. - Why AM I The One
Featuring the band's determined suit case.
13. El Perro Del Mar - I Was A Boy
Simple, but lovely.
14. Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra - The Bed Song
The Bed Song is one of my favorite songs by Amanda Palmer, but you have to watch the video. Pick of the month right here. #tearjerker

January ´13 Music Box
As I was scrolling through songs that I liked, all I can say is that January was busy! I noticed that there were many songs that I already had forgotten, not in a bad way though- new ones just kept coming in! Anyways here are the tunes, which deserve attention.
1. Pinback - Proceed To Memory
Make sure to watch the video, it's mint.
2. Santigold - Girls
It's quite funny that Finnish band PMMP has a song called Tytöt (=Girls) and a similar video concept. Click here to see it.
3. Telekinesis - Ghosts And Creatures
4. Widowspeak - Thick As Thieves
5. Widowspeak - Locusts
6. Kali Ma - Great Lake (Demo)
7. Baroness - March To The Sea
Tour footage before the bus accident.
8. Gerry & The Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone
Finally a video for this song.
9. French Films - When People Like You Filled The Heavens
10. The Strokes - One Way Trigger
11. fun. - Sight Of The Sun
Probably the band's best song.
12. Crystal Castles - Sad Eyes
13. Shelf Nunny Ft. Briana Kranich - Cause I Had The Time
My favorite of the month, featuring his fiancé. Check out the cool video too.

October's Music Box
October has been a month of many many releases, of which some aren't that good actually. Well at least at the moment those particular tunes haven't grown on me yet or the videos are just bad, but as they're coming from bands that I adore(d), they need to be included here.
Bloc Party - Kettling
Probably the best song of their latest album, though the video doesn't impress that much, but I get why they did it if I understood the lyrics correctly.
Feed Me & Crystal Fighters - Love Is All I Got
Crystal Fighters are a pretty decent British band, a great live band as well. I've also been in one of their music videos, unfortunately though not in this super hero London party clip.
The xx - Chained
Indie wonder kids are back. Some think the song and video are boring, but naah at least it's beautifully shot. Slow motion always does the trick.
Bon Iver - Beth/Rest
This could be probably the awful song and awful video. But the tune is actually quite good when you get into it despite the 80s love movie vibe. The video on the other hand..UGH. Just stick with the music Justin...
Franco and the Dreadnought - Platt Fields
There's nothing wrong with promoting the artist I work with, especially when Platt Fields is my favorite tune from him, and everything for a good cause.
M83 - Steve McQueen
I was surprisedd M83 released a new video from his album released a year ago. But yeah it's only been a year and Rihanna for example released like almost every track from her albums. Steve McQueen is a great great song.
Paul Banks - Young Again
It's always a joy to hear Paul's voice and the video is so sympathetic!
fun. - Carry On
Completely fell in love with the band at their Helsinki gig and this is the song they started the show with. Inspiring lyrics!
Crystal Castles - Affection
I end this month's music list with a last minute addition. I end it with the best of the month. All you CC fans were probably like *?* when you heard this, no doubt it sounds like electro r n b, so not them, but still so amazing, which is them.

Fun. @ The Circus, Helsinki
September 25th, 2012
Fun at the circus. Unbelievably ungoogleable. Unbelievably amazing.
After attending so many gigs in Amsterdam and especially in London, I did still remember how passionate the Finns could be at gigs. But I thought to myself that this mainly happens at big venue.
What a reality check.
The line in front of the doors was so long that we could have easily had a couple of beers more and not see the difference. I mean what were the odds for many people lining up in front of a night club. The odds were that the main act was the reason for drawing a full crowd.
New York's own rocky poppy fab trio Fun. has done extremely well back home and here too by getting a lot of plays on radio and TV. And apparently their support act Walk The Moon has been doing a pretty good job, even though I haven't heard their music before. But never mind me, when most of the audience were singing to their songs, which made me think that they're probably the first supporters that I've seen to be that well-received. They were like the main act already with that constant screaming from fans.
It continued even when they took their instruments out of the stage. Every single time someone walked pass. Nothing wrong with that though, as they did deliver. Plus the singer had such a nice sweater.
So, when I nearly lost my hearing with almost everyone giving all they got from their lungs, then imagine when Fun. got on stage. Or actually throughout the whole time they were on AND OFF the stage. Through the bloody shrieking I couldn't hear how loud I myself shouted. Usually at gigs people sing along to the most famous songs. There it weren't only the hits, but every single song! I was so amazed, and kept thinking in my mind that in London this could never happen. Before I thought Londoners were dull, now comparing to this they're kind of the living dead at gigs.
Also, you know when pretty much every band says something good about the city they're playing in, and it's most of the time just them pleasing the crowd. At that gig every word they said and every smile were completely sincere. How do we know this? Because even without them saying anything, it could be heard, seen and felt that this is the type of an audience musicians dream to play to.
I was waiting for them to say that we were the best gig they've played so far. Almost! As we were the best in Europe so far, which made me wonder, which crowd in America beats us. Perhaps their families and friends? Please tweet the answer to me!
What surprised me the most was their love for Moomins. Forget Angry Birds, bring on the Moomins bags and stuff! "Helsinki is the shit", they say.
Despite of the show being a high-energy non-stop crazy ride, there was still a moment for calming down. I'm pretty sure many fans got teary eyes at this moment. Like the uploader of the video describes;
My friend's only comment of the gig "it was so good for the singer's feet to be without shoes". She studies podiatry.
thanks fun. and fellow fun fans for making me deaf and lose my voice. but it was all worth it.

Probably the best night of my life. Sorry about the shaking in the beginning, I had to give the camera to my sister because I was too emotional/tired to hold it steady.
Here's a song about singer Nate's parents.

Gnarlloween Critical Mass
28.10.2011
It started in 1992 and now it's celebrated every last Friday of the month in over 300 cities around the world. Hundreds of cyclists gather together to take over the roads, and so do those with boards, skates, anything without a motor. New Yorker described it as 'monthly political-protest rides', but Critical Mass participants have insisted it to be a 'celebration' and social gathering, not an organized demonstration.
Either so, hearing how Critical Mass lasted from 6pm until midnight the previous month, I thought it to be more like taking part in Survivor. I was quite scared of how I'd manage, especially with my grippy wheels. But my goal was to make it til the end.
As it was during Halloween weekend, people had to dress up. Some did follow up the Star Wars theme suggested by someone.
Skating for 4 hours around London was amazing. It felt like being part of a huge family; cyclists were helping out the skaters, when there was bad pavement or if they just wanted to chat. And I'll always remember that moment at a crossing at King's Cross, where people just lifted their bikes and boards up in memory of a cyclist who died on that spot.
For us to have a safe ride, cars were stopped from driving on.
There were so many people filming us with their phones, especially on Oxford Street. At that point we were halfway through the route, and my legs were feeling quite tired already. Sometimes I could hardly stay up; one moment I had difficulties getting on my board that one guy laughed 'look she's so drunk'.
Well, let's have a look at my different moments during that day.
Pre- Critical Mass
Critical Mass
Post- Critical Mass
You can imagine how exhausted we were after kicking for so many hours. And how my left thigh and right calf hurt. Also, I was pretty scared to get out of bed the next morning, and when I finally got up, I noticed that my right ankle was in a pretty bad shape too. I was a zombie that whole day. Got to say that it wasn't like Survivor, it was more like Saw.
Nevertheless I had fun. Or 'fun fun fun fun' like Rebecca Black would say it. I also reached my goal, I didn't give up. Though my common sense was telling me to, but I hardly listen to it anyways. Even now it's telling me to rather take the bike for next week's Mass.
Naa, I got a board to kill.
